Bedbugs are mainly considered nocturnal as they are more active at night. They prefer to feed on a blood meal while you are sleeping. They will pierce the skin and draw out blood using their beak. Bed bugs feed from 3 to 10 minutes to become swollen and then, they creep away unseen.
At first, you won’t feel pain right after they bite you. However, it will later become itchy and turn into welts. Bedbugs don’t merely target a specific site, they bite on any exposed skin. Sometimes people mistakenly identify a bedbug bite and attribute the itching and welts to other causes like Mosquitoes.
